Back in 2015, excitement filled the air as Intratek Zimbabwe secured the tender for the Gwanda Solar Project, a groundbreaking undertaking valued at US$200 million. This project promised to diversify Zimbabwe's energy mix by introducing clean, sustainable solar power into the national grid. 

To kickstart the project, ZPC released an initial US$5 million for preliminary tasks like land clearing and feasibility studies. However, the project soon encountered significant delays.

Frustrated by the lack of progress, ZPC ultimately terminated the contract and pursued legal action against Intratek, alleging that the company failed to deliver on agreed-upon milestones.
